A note on Pali diacritical marks.

Please note that the Adobe Acrobat documents downloaded from this page preserve the Pali fonts and their diacritical marks.

Our web pages otherwise omit the Pali diacriticals, not because Pali fonts are unavailable but because many visitors will not be able to display them. On their browsers, Pali terms in Pali fonts such as Times_CSX will be rendered in standard Times resulting in unwanted substitute characters.

For further information, please see the Pali fonts page on BuddhaNet. A search on 'Pali fonts' is also recommended.
